MASTER ELECTRICIAN & LEAD GENERATOR INSTALLER
General Requirements
Estimate, size and install home standby generators.
Must have a clean Maine drivers license.
Master Electrician License in the State of Maine is required.
Must be able to read and understand wiring diagrams.
Small engine experience preferred.
Lead a generator installation team of 3 or more employees.
Keep tools provided in good working condition.
Be able to work from ground, squatting, and bending regularly, work in confined spaces, pulling or pushing required of large objects.
Be able to be on call during power outage emergencies as needed. Occasional weekend emergency call coverage may be required.
Target Responsibilities:
In home site visits with customers to properly size and decide placement of home standby generator systems.
Estimate electrical materials needed and labor needed for generator installations.
Deliver generators, trench and wire generators/transfer switches.
Pull electrical permits for installations.
Work with codes enforcement/electrical inspectors in many towns to ensure work exceeds standards.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, improve and promote quality of work of journeyman electrician, and monitor own work to ensure quality.
Observe all safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
Treat management and employees with respect and contribute to building a positive team spirit.
Work with integrity, always upholding company values.
Perform related responsibilities/accountabilities as required or directed.
Must be willing to maintain generators after installation.
Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
Keep work van & enclosed trailer stocked with commonly used parts, get approval from service manager of generator division.
Pull your parts needed for days work.
Begin workday on time with a positive attitude.
Maintain an orderly and clean work area.
Maintain a positive working relationship with employees, vendors and customers.
Completely fill out and turn in all work orders.
Weekly Duties and Responsibilities:
Check the work vans for correct inventory.
Study and review all relevant product repair updates.
Inspect, clean and maintain all equipment/tools used.
Report any faulty equipment or hazards to the shop supervisor.
Meet with owner to discuss the monthly or as needed repair trends, comebacks and service problems.
